호리아트스페이스는 한의도 개인전 《풍뎅이의 복화술》을 개최합니다. 한의도 작가는 20대의 젊은 시선으로 분열된 자아와 인식의 풍경을 회화로 풀어내며, 동시대의 감각을 솔직하면서도 아이러니한 화면에 담아왔습니다. 이번 전시는 가속화되는 미디어 환경과 흔들리는 정체성 속에서 드러나는 내면의 균열을 기묘하면서도 위트 있는 시각 언어로 보여줍니다.
일상의 친숙한 장면들은 화면 속에서 의외의 모습으로 변주됩니다. 과장되거나 분할된 인물, 복수의 눈동자, 뒤집힌 풍뎅이의 몸짓은 불안정한 내면을 드러내는 동시에 자기분열의 자화상으로 나타납니다. 작가는 “무엇이 진실처럼 보이도록 하는가?”라는 질문을 던지며, 타인과 자아, 현실과 허구가 충돌하는 지점을 날카롭게 드러냅니다.
《풍뎅이의 복화술》은 익숙한 풍경 속에 숨어 있는 낯선 감각을 드러냅니다. 한의도는 일상의 장면을 유머와 위트로 비틀어, 우리가 당연하게 여겼던 시선을 다시 흔듭니다. 화면 속 뒤틀린 몸짓과 다중적인 시선은 단순한 기괴함을 넘어, 오늘을 살아가는 세대의 불안과 아이러니를 압축한 풍경이 됩니다. 이번 전시는 그 낯선 감각을 함께 응시하며, 우리가 바라보는 방식 자체를 되묻는 자리가 될 것입니다.
HORI ART SPACE is pleased to present Ventriloquy of a Beetle, a solo exhibition by Han Uido.Han, with the fresh perspective of his twenties, translates fragmented selves and shifting perceptions into painting, capturing the sensibility of our time with both candor and irony. This exhibition reveals the fractures of identity exposed in an accelerated media environment through a peculiar yet witty visual language.
Everyday familiar scenes are reconfigured into unexpected forms. Exaggerated or divided figures, multiple eyes, and the overturned gestures of beetles expose unstable inner states while simultaneously emerging as self-portraits of psychological division. Asking, “What makes something appear true?”, the artist incisively illuminates the collision between self and other, reality and fiction.
Ventriloquy of a Beetle exposes the uncanny sensations hidden within the ordinary. Han twists the familiar with humor and wit, unsettling the gaze we have long taken for granted. The distorted gestures and layered perspectives in his canvases move beyond mere strangeness, condensing the anxieties and ironies of a generation navigating today’s world.
