유기주
유기주(Yoo Ki-Joo, b.1987)는 국민대학교 회화과를 졸업하고 동대학원에서 인터미디어아트 석사과정을 수료했다. 작가는 회화, 영상, 조각, 도자기 등 다양한 매체의 실험을 통해 실존의 경계에 선 자아를 탐구한다. 개인전 《양립된 거울》(Space+갤러리,안성, 2022)을 개최하였으며 우올로 작가와 2인전 《PLAY》(스몰 벗 그레이트, 서울, 2025)을 가졌다. 《습관 서식지 아비투스(Habit-Habitat-Habitus)》(한국예술종합학교 강태희갤러리, 서울, 2025), 《서울공예문화축제》(서울함, 서울, 2024), 《Wavy Wave》(호리아트스페이스, 서울, 2024), 《도서관 속 작업실》(의정부 미술도서관, 의정부, 2023), 《癲 미칠, 전_미쳐버리고 싶은, 미쳐지지 않는》(대안공간 루프, 서울, 2015), 《**uk Your Neighbor》(아마도예술공간, 서울, 2015) 등 다수의 단체전에 참여했으며 의정부미술도서관 입주작가(2022-2023)로 활동한 바 있다.
Yoo Ki-Joo(b.1987) earned a B.F.A. in Painting from Kookmin University and completed the coursework for an M.F.A. in Intermedia Art at the same institution. The artist explores the self poised on the boundaries of existence through experimental approaches across various media, including painting, video, sculpture, and ceramics.She held the solo exhibition Incompatible Mirror (Space+ Gallery, Anseong, 2022) and recently showcased the two-person exhibition PLAY with artist Woolo (Small but Great, Seoul, 2025). The artist’s work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including Habit-Habitat-Habitus (K-ARTS Kang Tae-hee Gallery, Seoul, 2025), Seoul Craft Culture Festival (Seoul Battleship Park, Seoul, 2024), Wavy Wave (Hori Art Space, Seoul, 2024), and Studio in the Library (Uijeongbu Art Library, Uijeongbu, 2023). Earlier career highlights include participation in 癲: The Mad - Wanting to Go Mad, but Cannot (Alternative Space Loop, Seoul, 2015) and **uk Your Neighbor (Amado Art Space/Lab, Seoul, 2015). Additionally, Yoo served as an Artist-in-Residence at the Uijeongbu Art Library from 2022 to 2023.
