Cheon Dae-Gwang (b. 1970) studied Fine Arts at Dongguk University and at the Kunstakademie Münster in Germany, where he completed the Meisterschüler program under Professors Mike and Dik Röbert. He has held 17 solo exhibitions, including Light and Faint Light (Hori Art Space / AIF Lounge, 2022), Jip-u Jip-ju (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Cheongju, 2021), Space Experiment – 35M Above Sea Level (Yangpyeong County Museum of Art, 2020), and the architecture-themed exhibition Construction of the Senses (Arko Art Center, 2013). His awards and residency programs number more than twenty, among them the Gyeonggi Visual Arts Spotlight Project Grant (Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, 2022), the Arts Council Korea Overseas Artist Residency (2019), the Enniger Art Residency in Germany (2019), the Shared City Project Support Grant (Seoul Design Foundation, 2017), and the Förderpreis Grand Prize from Münster, Germany (2005). He is currently based in Seoul and Yangpyeong.
